Got a little Civics Test I want y’all to take
Ain’t gonna be no problem if you’re even half-awake
It’s a test that one and all should pass, and pass with perfect ease
without much education and without them there degrees
Now, I wanna make this easy, so no one’s left behind
It appears that one or two of y’all are somewhat misaligned
So I’ll hand out all the answers ‘fore I hand y’all the test
No need to get the jitters, and no need to get all stressed
We have a Constitution. It’s the basis for our laws
And Article One, Section Nine, has a clear and simple Clause
The Representatives of the House have the Power of the Purse
with yay or nay from Senators if the POTUS is not adverse
Once the spending is put in place, only the House can change it
No one else in heaven or earth has the power to rearrange it
Not the President, not the Senators, not the Judges on the bench
And not some Dodgy Effer, if you’ll excuse my F-ing French

Now we vote for people who ignore it and grab their perks
Worse than that, we’ve got an unelected guy with a power
Conflicts of interest deep and wide, it’s not our finest hour
